Fergie Defends Christina Aguilera's Super Bowl Blunder

Coming to the defense of her fellow performer, Stacy “Fergie” Ferguson admitted that she felt sorry for Christina Aguilera following her botched National Anthem on Sunday night (February 6).

Chatting with Dan Patrick this morning (February 7), the Black Eyed Peas singer was asked if she had compassion for the "Burlesque" babe, to which she replied, "I did."

Fergie continued, "Because you know what? It's such a huge venue, your nerves take a hold of you. I completely understand. She's one of the best singers of our time. Nobody can take that away from you. ... But you get nervous at these things. We're human."


As for her own halftime performance, the 35-year-old told, "Some of my notes were pitchy to me. It was so exhilarating. The whole thing. it was so big. That's a once-in-a-lifetime thing."

While the "I Gotta Feeling" group is currently booked for the entire summer, plans to spread their sound with a 2011 trek aren't going so smoothly - as Stacy "Fergie" Ferguson is said to be considering leaving the group due to her ill feelings for Will.I.Am.
With the report being unconfirmed, sources tell Radar Online that Fergie is fed up with dealing with her bandmate while also getting the itch to start a family with actor husband Josh Duhamel.

Radar's insider tells, “Fergie is saying she wants out of the band and the second half of the tour isn’t confirmed for early next year. Things have gotten really bad with Will.i.Am. And it’s not just Fergie who is clashing with him. So is the rest of the band. His ego is out of control. Fergie just wants to get away from the whole thing.”

The source still is unsure if the move will be made - with Fergie keeping her sentiments quiet until she makes up her mind.

"I don’t know if she’ll admit or deny it when it leaks out, but I do know that it’s 100 percent true, she’s got everything planned out and she says she can’t be convinced to change her mind,” the insider explains. “And she really wants a baby with Josh. Between that and the bad blood with Will, it looks like the 2011 tour is in big trouble and she’s saying she’s going to split for good.”
